BUILDING IT

Human connection is our most valuable currency. It can determine everything from our first friendship to our next promotion to our last heartbeat. Yet despite its immense impact on our lives, we were never taught how to do it—leaving us to learn how to connect through trial and endless error.

That’s insane, right?

I was lucky: my experiences as a child made me a natural connector. As an average, middle-class, Virginia girl turned California-based, two-time Emmy Award-Winning Television Producer (pinch me), much of my success comes from connecting with and building the best teams and partnerships. Beyond the office, my social skills led to relationships with some of the kindest, most genuine people on the planet. I’d always had connection in abundance.

So when a prolonged illness took away that connection, I was in no way prepared for how hard life became.

LOSING IT

My work, my health, my confidence, they all took a hit. Desperate to understand what was happening, I dug into the history and the science of social health.

The bottom line? Over-connection has led to mass disconnection.

Our brains are wired to build community for our very survival. But these same brains never had to fight through the noise of a digital world with a 24-hour news cycle while maintaining contact with 80% of the people we went to kindergarten with. We’re making it hard.

FINDING IT

To make it simple, I became a Trauma-Informed Human Connection Expert certified in Positive Psychology methods and Psychological Safety. This work not only got me reconnected, it connected me to the best version of myself.

To help others do the same, I've developed interactive workshops, curated cohorts and team-building events that use data, storytelling, and experiential activities to practice developing genuine human connection. These customizable programs guide you to connect to your authentic self and forge deeper, more meaningful relationships in all areas of life.

My goal is to help you, your village or your team create and maintain the social capital necessary to thrive in the 21st Century.

Welcome to Connect5. I’m so happy you’re here.
